The Soul of the Blacksmith—A Life Walked with Tradition
The life of a blacksmith has always been embedded in me. Growing up watching my father and grandfather work, I never realized it, but eventually, I found myself walking the same path. Being a blacksmith is not just about doing a job—every day is a continuous journey of learning and challenge. The sound of hammering metal, the heat of the forge, the feeling of mastering tools—it becomes a part of your life, deeply embedded in your body. The greatest fulfillment I find in this work is being able to bring joy to others. The reason I continue this craft today is because I feel a deep responsibility to preserve the skills of those who came before me and pass them on to the next generation.

Experience the Craftsmanship of Sakai City
Through our partnership with Shiroyama Knife Workshop, we bring artisan-crafted Sakai knives to customers around the world. Each knife includes a magnolia wood saya, carefully selected and prepared for the knife. Upon request, complimentary Honbazuke is also available as an initial hand-sharpening intended to prepare the knife for practical use.
