The Origin of Craftsmanship
-
I want people to feel the love for cooking when they hold a piece of Sakai forged cutlery. As a craftsman, there is no greater joy than this.
-
Sakai forged cutlery embodies centuries of refined technique and an uncompromising dedication to materials. Each piece is crafted with care, transcending its role as a mere tool to become a trusted partner that supports the passion of those who cook.
-
Cooking begins the moment a knife meets an ingredient. The knife in your hand should offer more than sharpness—it should provide a comfortable grip, visual elegance, and a sense of reliability that inspires confidence and joy in the kitchen. This is the vision we hold as we pour our hearts into crafting each and every blade.
-
For a craftsman, the greatest reward is enriching someone’s life through the tools we create. If someone holding a Sakai knife can feel the precision of its blade and the love that goes into every slice, as well as the special moments that cooking brings, that is the pinnacle of our happiness.
-
We will continue to craft Sakai forged cutlery with dedication, so it can enhance the joy of cooking and spread the smiles shared around the table. This is our enduring mission.
Experience the Craftsmanship of Sakai City
Through our partnership with Shiroyama Knife Workshop, we bring artisan-crafted Sakai knives to customers around the world. Each knife includes a magnolia wood saya, carefully selected and prepared for the knife. Upon request, complimentary Honbazuke is also available as an initial hand-sharpening intended to prepare the knife for practical use.
